I’ve been inspired lately by Scottie Young, artist on Marvel’s Wizard of Oz and other titles. I really enjoy the sketchy look of his artwork and the motion his characters seem to have. I can understand getting that look with penciling, but he maintains it during the inking stage, too. So, I’ve sketched out a few poses of Ramone Cologne trying to get that loose feeling while showing more motion in Ramone’s poses.

Not a masterpiece by any means, but I couldn’t wait to do some finger painting on the Kindle Fire, via Sketchbook Pro, so I busted out this quick painting with Ramone. I can’t wait to get a stylus and start doing more advanced artwork on here! I’m hoping to do a complete book using the Kindle Fire as my only device.

Ten minutes by boat, and nine metres deep, an extraordinary installation is taking shape off the coast of Cancun in Mexico.

This beautiful exhibit is now added to my vacation wish list. Snorkeling is one of my favorite activities. Looks like I’ll have to learn scuba for this depth, but these pictures convince me it’s worth it. Centuries from now, I’m sure this art will fuel the Atlantis stories. -Rick
